Skal International: a global network serving tourism

Founded in 1934, Skal International is one of the world's leading travel and tourism trade organizations. It brings together more than 12,000 members from 100 countries and is distinguished by its philosophy: developing tourism through friendship, cooperation, and innovation.

On the French Riviera, Skal brings together a wide variety of industry players: hoteliers, restaurateurs, travel agencies, transport companies, tourist real estate developers, and luxury specialists. The goal: to foster synergies and build a shared vision of tomorrow's tourism.

A return to school marked by reflection and sharing

The meeting on September 18 in Cannes was an opportunity for members of Skal International Côte d'Azur to meet up after the summer season and discuss the major issues affecting our region:

  • How to attract and retain a demanding international clientele?

  • What strategies should be implemented to develop sustainable and responsible tourism?

  • How can we boost the region throughout the year and not just during the high season?

  • What new services can we imagine to offer unique and memorable experiences?

So many strategic subjects that resonate directly with Living 71's mission: to offer tailor-made stays in exceptional villas and to contribute to the promotion of the Côte d'Azur's tourist heritage.

The Côte d'Azur: a destination to be reinvented

A true international icon, the French Riviera attracts millions of visitors each year. Cannes, Nice, Saint-Tropez, Antibes, and the Nice hinterland offer a diversity of landscapes and experiences that appeal to travelers from around the world.

But faced with competition from other luxury destinations like Ibiza, Mykonos, and Dubai, it is becoming crucial to reinvent the Côte d'Azur's tourism offering. Participants at the event stressed that the future lies in:

  • a more authentic and personalized experience,

  • a promotion of local know-how (gastronomy, culture, crafts),

  • an ecological transition integrated into tourist practices,

  • and a diversification of activities offered to visitors.

Living 71: a committed player in luxury tourism

As a member of Skal International Côte d'Azur, Living 71 is actively committed to promoting a modern and responsible vision of luxury. Specializing in luxury villa rentals, we strive every day to offer our guests much more than just accommodation: a complete, refined, and personalized experience.

Our villas are chosen for their exceptional location, unparalleled comfort, and unique atmosphere. But what makes the difference are the services that accompany each stay:

  • Private chefs and culinary experiences based on local products,

  • Tailor-made concierge service to organize activities and events,

  • Well-being at home (massages, treatments, yoga),

  • Exclusive activities: private cruises, wine discoveries, confidential excursions.

By supporting local service providers and integrating responsible practices, Living 71 fully contributes to the influence of the Côte d'Azur and its ability to remain one of the most attractive luxury destinations in the world.

The major challenges of tomorrow

During this return to Skal International Côte d'Azur, several key themes emerged:

  1. Sustainable tourism: reducing the ecological footprint of stays and favoring environmentally friendly infrastructures.

  2. Personalized experiences: meeting the expectations of an international clientele looking for unique stays.

  3. Extension of the tourist season: develop offers outside of summer and winter, particularly around well-being, culture or wine tourism.

  4. Digital innovation: improving the visibility of the destination and facilitating the organization of stays using digital tools.

These are all challenges that Skal members, including Living 71, wish to collectively address to ensure a prosperous future for Côte d'Azur tourism.

Building the future of Côte d'Azur tourism together

The opening of the Skal International Côte d'Azur on September 18 in Cannes was much more than just a professional gathering. It represented a decisive step in building a more sustainable, attractive, and innovative tourism sector on the Côte d'Azur.

For Living 71, being a member of this prestigious network is an opportunity to actively contribute to this dynamic. Our role is clear: to continue offering exceptional stays, showcase the unique heritage of the Côte d'Azur, and offer our international clients an experience that combines luxury, authenticity, and responsibility.

Because beyond prestige, true luxury lies in the art of creating unforgettable memories, in the heart of a region that is constantly reinventing its appeal.
